We start this 6 hours private cruise from Chania Old Port. Then, we will sail into the Chania gulf and Rodopou peninsula to visit some secret pure and unspoiled spots of Crete by boat. We first anchor at Menies beach, ideal for the ones seeking privacy and silence to swim, snack, and drink. We will then go towards Chironisia and other secret beaches of Rodopou to explore secret caves, swim and snorkel. Finally, we visit the protected uninhabited island of Thodorou to capture the rare Cretan wild kri-kri and the sunken German plane wreck from WWII.

The price of this 6 hours private boat tour to Menies from the Port of Chania starts from 850 euros with an open deck RIB (1-9 persons) and goes up to 1250 euros per group (1-7 persons) with a Cabin Lux Boat.

If your group is larger than our maximum boat capacity, we can arrange a second boat to accommodate your group. The boats sail and tie together, so the group does not split. While docked, you can go from one boat to the other. Ask us about the alternative options.
Approximately 40-45 minutes on an average cruising speed of 22-24 knots.
The boat can anchor 20-30 meters away from Menies beach. It is not allowed to go closer due to swimmers in the area and the shallow sea with rocky bottom. After we anchor the boat, you can easily swim to the beach or stay and relax on the vessel.
Approximately 1 -1.5 hours. You can stay on the boat, relax and sunbathe , or go to the beach and explore the ruins of Diktynna Sanctuary. Otherwise you can go snorkelling.
Depending on how much time you have spent in Menies beach, your friendly guide will show you around the amazing landscape of Rodopou peninsula with its private beaches and caves. You can choose to have several small stops on the beaches and bays of the area which are not accessible by car. Otherwise you can spend all of your time in Chironisia, a magnificent bay with crystal clear turquoise water, ideal for snorkelling or relaxing on the boat.
Your final stop will be Thodorou Island to observe the wild goats and the sunken German plane wreck from WWII. (20′-30′)
Between June 15 and September 10 bring your Beachwear, Towels, Sunscreen Hat,Hiking shoes (if you want to explore the landscape). If you book a trip earlier than June 15th don’t forget to bring a wind-jacket. The average (low-high) temperature in the Summer (June -August) in Crete is 20-33 degrees and usually without clouds.
For the months April, May, June (1st half), September (second half), and October, the average temperature may vary between 18-28 degrees. Bring a long sleeved shirt or a wind -jacket in case of cloudy weather, rain or late return to the Port.
If the boat is available you can ask your friendly skipper to extend your boat tour at an additional cost.

All our boats have portable fire extinguishers, a first aid kit, flares, a floating anchor, a spare boat engine or two main engines, a depth sounder, and a geodetic tracking system (GPS tracker). Also, our staff is highly trained in emergencies, following a specific safety protocol.
There are no health restrictions but please notify us if you have children under the age of 4, if you have a pregnant person in your group, if you have any kind of allergies or a person with disabilities.
